I’m building DebtReply because I want the next step to feel easier to understand. A clear explanation and a starting point for a letter can make a complicated task feel more manageable.
The aim is simple: help you understand the information, put your reply into words and find free help when you need it.
Your reply stays yours
DebtReply is a self-service project. You choose what to write and whether to send it. We don’t contact collectors, negotiate for you or charge you to use the site.
You can personalise a letter in your browser. Our free help page links to services you can use now.
Information you can trace
ASIC and the ACCC publish joint guidance about debt collection. We use primary sources like these, link to them and record when we checked them.
