Our approach

Show the source.

Short answer

DebtReply is an independent self-service project. We explain practical processes using Australian primary sources and show where to check them. We do not provide advice about an individual case.

Where information comes from

Our guides link to ASIC Moneysmart, the ACCC, the National Debt Helpline and other relevant primary sources. Dates describe when those sources were checked for the page, not a promise that the information will never change.

What review means here

The site checks source links and content structure during development. It has not been professionally reviewed as legal or financial advice. We do not invent qualifications, endorsements or success stories. The letters are starting points for you to check, not an assessment of your position.

When sources differ or circumstances matter

We explain the qualification or send you to a source and free help. We do not use a date calculator to decide whether an old debt can be enforced, or a contact counter to decide whether conduct is unlawful.

If something looks wrong

Check the linked primary source and obtain advice before relying on disputed information. Content is maintained in the project’s source repository. A public corrections contact will be added when an inbox is configured; this site does not collect messages or personal cases.
